Nighthawk X6 Smart Wi-Fi Router (R8000) - AC3200 - much slower than modem
I have 600 mbps upload/download speed fiber optic service.
When i connect a PC directly to the modem I get >600mbps service.
When I connect the modem to my router then hard wire to the router I get < 200 mbps.
I have:
- CAT6 cables connecting everything.
- latest firmware.
- disabled Access control, QoS and no parental controls.
- Rebooted everything
What should be my next troubleshooting step be?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Try a factory reset and setup from scratch along with powering OFF the ISP modem for 30 seconds then back ON.
After the router is set back up with a web browser and wired PC, run a speed test using Ooklas installable speed test app.
Don't enable any Access Controls, Armor, SPC or Traffic Meter. These will degrade the speed results.

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. As I stated earlier, all LAN cables are new, tested CAT6 cables.I did the factory reset and confirmed I had all the additional features turned off. I had improvedspeed when I connected directly up to a LAN port, got the same speed as my ISP states is in my plan. WiFi speed lower , about 50% or less, even when my PC was right next to the router. Maybe that is normal and expected.
