Nighthawk x6s R7900P
My home network consists of a Comcast System One Modem/Router. My desktop and printer each plug into one of the Ethernet ports on the back. I have a long Ethernet cable into another port which runs to another building (my home) where my Nighthawk is and plugs into the LAN/I TERNET port. There are other hardwired connections and WiFi access to the nighthawk as well as the Comcast modem/router in my shop/office. As configured, they have different SSIDs.
Problem…. In the house I do not see or have access to the office network printer. How do I configure the nighthawk to allow access to the network printer? I think I have to change it’s configuration to be an extender so is reflects the office SSID and allows the office router to assign DHCP(?). I think that’s the acronym. Right now the Nighthawk is its own stand-alone access point.
Thanks for any direction or simple solution. Right now if I am in the house, I have to make sure that I am connected to the office LAN and vice versa.

Plug the 2nd router (R7900P) in using its wan port and set it up in access point mode. That leaves the xfinity device managing dhcp/nat and should fix your issue. You might have to ensure the devices on the netgear have their windows setting to private and not public so they can discover the printer

Thank you, that sounds easy enough. However, I do not see a "WAN" port. There are four ethernet ports, two of which, 1 and 2, are designated "AGGREGATE," and an Internet port, which is where the line to the Comcast modem is connected.

Disregard the last reply. I understand the port labeled as INTERNET is, in fact, the WAN port. Sorry, it was a temporary brain fault.

Will the Netgear match the identical SSID as the Comcast modem/router?

yes and no.
Here's why I say that.
You can manually set them with the same ssid. But they won't roam the same as a mesh system will because they don't integrate like a mesh with smart roaming enabled.
So would I set them the same? No.
I'd set them with separate ssids and make sure they use different wifi channels to prevent interference.
