Packet loss during gaming with wired connection

Hello,

Ever since our family has bought the R7000 I have noticed severe packet loss with a wired connection in gaming. Wifi has no issues with connection with at least 4 devices always connected. The best example is whilst playing an MMO, but even now the issue has become bad enough to even effect FPS games which wasnt an issue in the past. The strange thing ive also notice is that the internet speeds are completely unaffected and are normal.

I'm not too educated into networking but anyone could notice this problem. Ive contacted Comcast my ISP (sigh) and they've done the usual and we've had about 4 techs out here and nothing has changed from them coming here. Then i figured it had to be on my end and turns out if im wired directly into the modem which is an Arris Surfboard SB6141 i have no issues what so ever. So that singled out the router.

Im at loss as what to do and have had this issue for a while now. It is frustrating and havent had much time lately to deal with it. I have the latest firmware for the router (V1.0.7.2_1.1.93).

Appeciate any response or feedback.

Thanks, Logan

    Here's mine using WIFIBBC.png

I think yours could be better seeing it's a wired test correct? The test MEANS Nothing when other users are using network. It Only gets worse.

I meant to suggest earlier that you hook up old router seeing how you said Ever since you got the r7000 the problem started. Also try FW V1.0.4.30 after that I give up.

When connecting directly to Arris no other devices are sharing the connection. You said, No issues using wireless....Are you saying if you play same games with same device using wireless it works fine?

Sorry for the confusion. No, i do not have a wireless adapter for my pc, nor any other device strong enough to rightfully test that case. My pc is the only thing wired connecting to the R7000 in the house.

        Ok,

To rule out other users you'll need to Push the 2nd from the right WIFI off - on button and test. Still bad, disable QOS, still bad push reset until power LED flashes using defaults test again...still bad try V1.0.3.40 fw.
