R6400v2 AC1750 download speeds
I purchased this router a few years ago and with several of us working from home have been having internet speed issues. My internet plan is for 200 mbps but I am only getting ~ 90 mbps down and 35 up using an ethernet connection and ~ 75 mbps down and 35 up on a wireless connection. I've connected directly to the modem and am registering 197 down and 35 up and according to my ISP am getting what I am paying for. I see lots of complaints regarding loss of speed but honestly I am not an IT expert and most of the responses require a lot of IT knowledge. I purchased a router capable of handling 24 devices at speeds of upo to 450 mbps and am getting no where near that. I have done hard restarts and updated the firmware to the latest available on Netgears site (within the past 2 weeks). Can anyone recommend a router that is a simple plug and play and performs to the advertised specs?

What firmware version are you on?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
Have you checked the cable? When you get that 90mbps (ish) it makes me suspect it isn't connected at gigabit speeds. The ethernet cable is a reasonable first place to check

Thanks for the reply. Figured out it was the cable connecting the modem to the router. Still not thrilled with wifi speeds but at least I see I'm getting the correct speed to the router.
