R6700 Firmware Version 1.0.2.10 - Hot Fix - This firmware file is incorrect!
So I see that Netgear released a hot fix on 7/2/20 to patch these things:
PSV-2019-0296, PSV-2020-0001, 0009, 0108, 0118, 0119
ZDI-CAN-9642, 9643, 9618, 9703, 9756, 9767, 9768
I downloaded the hot fix but I get this error when I try to install the firmware update:
This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product.
I have verified that my R6700 router is not the V2 or V3 models and have extracted the file properly before trying to update. Here's the name of the extracted file: R6700-V1.0.2.10_10.0.54_beta.chk
What's going on?
So I rebooted the router and tried the very latest firmware update again. It worked this time for some reason. Go figure. Thanks for the assistance!

"verified" _how_, exactly? Look for "Model" on the product label?

What is its current firmware version?I confirmed it by looking at the model number sticker on the botton of the router (see attached screenshot) and on the Admin page when logged in. The current firmware version installed is V1.0.2.8_10.0.53
It worked for me.
