R7000 AC1900 Slow Download speed wired
Hello, Hoping to get some help on my situation from the smart folks. I have Spectrum Internet with a 100 Mbps connection.
1.The speed test wired to my pc from Spectrum modem shows download of 100+ (spectrum.speedtest.net). When wired from the R7000 to the same pc I am only reaching around 40 Mbps (spectrum.speedtest.net).
2. I have upgraed the firmware to the latest (not sure from reading if this is a good thing) but also performed a factory reset last night and readings are the same.
I have read about the QoS but not sure if this is the route I should go or older firmware.
What are some basic things I can check to see if I just need a new router or not? I have read many of the forums but really get lost in what I should do next?
Thanks in advance,

Which version of firmware are you on?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
After the reset, did you do a clean install or did you use a backup?
Firmware Version 1.0.11.110
Not sure of the modem from Spectrum but it does work well when connected to the Spectrum modem by itself.
After the reset I just allowed it to come back up from what it came up with with no backup. I just set a password on it for now and left it at that. Same speeds. I can try to find out the modem from Spectrum this afternoon. Just looking online at them it looks like the Orbi RBK44 but I am not sure. I do know that the download speeds are great when connected to the modem itself from Spectrum.
Thanks for the reply a bunch.

yes, when you find out the modem/gateway, post it back on here.
