R7000 having issues bridge mode/repeater
Hi all i upgraded my GC and i no longer have room for wireless card in my case. I have a R7000 laying around that i was using as my main router 1-2yrs ago. I now have a T-Mobile all in one router and i setup my R7000 in bridge mode and it worked great for the past few months. The last 2 weeks I've been having issues with my ISP and they suggested i swap out the T-Mobile tower on warranty. I swapped out tower and now my r7000 will not work in bridge mode. I followed the same steps on a YouTube video as i did before having no issues the first time and now I did multiple factory resets, the FW is up to date, and the new T-Mobile tower is same model just different SSID/pass. When I FR im able to login to the Routerlogin.net and go to advanced select bridge mode and input SSID and PASS of the T-Mobile tower(main) and the router reboots then i can no longer login to it via ethernet cable(routerlogin.net/192.168.1.1).
-The only thing i can think of is i tried a couple other videos and basically just switched it from router function to bridge mode so i may have other needed settings selected that got wiped when i FR?
-I upgraded to windows 11 recently there is a chance was windows 10 when i first set it up and now the windows 11 network interface is a little different not sure. Also it might have been older firmware when i first setup?
-For the bridge mode i left IP dynamic and DNS dynamic. do i need to manually input IP, subnet, gateway and DNS?
-at the bottom there is an option VLAN/bridge mode do i need to check the boxes lan 1234 and freq 2.4/5?
Sorry im just at a loss i literally followed the instructions from netgear manual and it worked first time setting up bridge mode now it no longer works.
Thank you all
What issues specifically are you having?
IF the R7000 worked on the last ISP router and now it doesn't on the new one, maybe something on the new router that isn't worknig well with the R7000. Something to contact the ISP about.
Can certainly try static IP configuration for the R7000.
Make sure WPA2 and AES only is set on the ISP router. Try OPEN security temporarily to see if the R7000 will connect at all.
Try changing channels on the ISP router.

Thanks for the quick response i will try these solutions when i get off work this evening. Like i said it was plug and play before with tower #1 and swapped for tower #2 both new in box so i assumed i wouldn't have any issues as i did the initial setup.
To set up wireless bridge mode on your NETGEAR router:
- Make a note of the WiFi settings of the other router to which this router will connect.
You need to know the SSID, WiFi security mode, wireless password, and operating frequency (either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz). - Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to the network of the router that will run in bridge mode.
- Type http://www.routerlogin.net.
A login screen displays. - Enter the router user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time that you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays. - Click ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Wireless Bridge.
The Wireless Bridge page displays. - Select the Enable Bridge Mode checkbox.
- Click the Setup Bridge Mode Wireless Settings button.
- Enter the settings of the other router:
- Select the wireless network frequency (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)
- In the Name (SSID) field, enter the wireless network name (SSID).
- In the Security Option section, select the WiFi security mode of the other router.
- If prompted, type the passphrase (the WiFi password that you use to connect with WiFi to the router).
- Click Apply.
The settings for the other router are saved and the Advanced Wireless Settings page displays. - Click Apply on the Advanced Wireless Settings page.
Your settings are saved.
Just not sure if it was FR the first time i think i just swapped from router>bridge mode. Im afraid when i FR it may have changed some needed settings? No mention above tho..this is the instructions i followed first time no issues.
The problem I'm having is when i set r7000 to bridge mode with my T-Mobile SSID/PASS it is unable to connect to my T-Mobile(main) tower. When i hit apply settings it reboots my PC is not connected to internet or Main router and i know its not in router mode because i cant discover it with my phone wifi which im able to when i FR it because its router mode by default.

What FW version is on the R7000?
Maybe some some incompatibility with the R7000 and your newer ISP router. Like is said, if it worked with the old ISP router and not the new one, something at the new ISP router maybe needs to be looked at.
- Make a note of the WiFi settings of the other router to which this router will connect.
