R7800 Firmware V1.0.2.92 update messed up readyshare

Nighthawk R7800 Firmware V1.0.2.92 update messed up readyshare. After the reboot the drives show up on the readyshare web screen, but does not show up on filemanagers on my LAN. Linux Mint (2 different versions). Reset the Router again, still no joy.

Thanks in advance

Bob

  • I rolled it back to 1.0.2.90, now readyshare works as before.

    Thanks

Hi @Bigrbob, may we know if rolling back the firmware fixes the issue for you?

      Not much point in that.

As already explained, you do not need to roll back to older firmware to use ReadySHARE. It works just fine for me with the newest firmware. So it is possibly a problem at the user end.

Would you share steps you used to mount drive in windows/linux?
For me and OP, the old ways of mounting didnt work as soon as upgraded to .92 but downgrading back to .90 worked as before. So clearly there is something wrong with the update.

        Thanks.
