R7800

Hi I used this a few years ago in italy and now want to set it up in the uk. I’ve tried with the nighthawk app and I’m obviously doing something wrong. I get the message can’t connect to the network allow local access, which is enabled. I can’t remember how it works. Any guide anywhere please? The Wi-Fi network name is not showing when I plug it in only flash router 25 and 59Thanks

    There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
    Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
    Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
    Its a great resource to start with.

     

    I'd also start with a factory reset on the router. 
    Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on. 

    then follow the install guide.

    Recommend you steer far away from the "app".  It is the source of many problems.

     

    After you have done the firmware default reset, connect direct to the R7800 with an ethernet cable and a computer.  Use a web browser to connect to the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and complete your setup.

     

    Note there firmware updates for the R7800 over the past couple of years.
