R7850 missing Wireless Bridge mode
AT&T decided to cut off my landline. They politely sent a letter stating that disconnect was scheduled for the end of October. And they've stopped providing repair service on landlines.
In doing so, they also cutoff internet access. Nice guys, eh?
I have a Starlink router in a nearby building, but it doesn't support ethernet. So I need to get my ethernet network bridged to the Starlink WiFi. The R7850 user manual documents how to configure the router for bridge mode. However, "Wireless Bridge" does not exist in the Advanced -> Advanced Setup menu.
I'm running Firmware V1.0.5.84 - the latest for this unit.
Has anyone been able to get this model router into bridge mode?
Thanks,

IF it had it it may have been in early FW versions, maybe. I've never had this particular model however have a R7800 which I can only presume maybe similar in nature. It had bridge mode at one point but was removed later on. Not sure why.
Also the 78xx series is EoL so you might want to find something that supports wireless bridge mode and has a ethernet port on it.
I know my RAX120 and RAXE500 support wireless bridge mode as I've used them many times in that mode.

If you're waiting to make it a wireless access point all you have to do is turn off the dhcp and connect one of those 4 LAN ports to the starlink router and you'll have the r7850s wifi working with that system. You won't be able to use the LAN ports as ethernet ports though which is what I think you're trying to do.

Makes it a bit difficult to connect an Ethernet port on the R7850 if the Starlink does not support Ethernetnet.

Thinking about it, since starlink doesn't support ethernet you need to probably buy a wireless extender with an ethernet port.

What starlink do you have? Some you can get an adapter that allows ethernet out.

Yes, but dogpilot says the Starlink router is in a different building.
So he needs an extender mode (wifi bridge), not an AP mode. Which I think means he has to purchase one, since the R7800 doesn't have it.
dogpilot - are you getting a solid wifi connection to the Starlink from your location? If not, an extender won't work well. Another option is to get an outdoor directional (point-to-point) wifi bridge (a pair of devices). If you go this route, you probably will also need an ethernet adapter from Starlight for your router, and connect that to the point-to-point link. There are several options, but AFAIK none from Netgear.
