R800 Unable to update firmware
After a succesful installation, update and configuration if my router, I noticed there was a new version of the firmware (1.0.3...).
If I try an automatic update, netgear genie tells me it's up to date, which is not true. So I have tried a manual update with the downloaded file. The problem I have is that each time I try to install it, I have a message that warns me I wull be disconnect from the Internet during the process. So, when the installation begins after a few seconds it stop.
Anything i can do about it?

What is the complete file name you're trying to load.
- Spawn66AspirantIt's the good file don't worry (*.chk if I remember well).
The problem is the installation process cannot be conpleted because the router disconnect from the web so the installation screen always switch to a new one that indicates the lost of internet connection!
Its kind of frustrating.. - Spawn66AspirantIs it normal to have the warning that the router will disconnect from the internet before trying to upgrade the firmware?

....disconnect all other cables including WAN.... Try updating with pc connected via lan port

Ok here's what i did :
Disconnect all cables from the router
Turn off wi-fi
Connect my laptop directly to the router
Connect to the router via www.routerlogin.net
Try to upload and install the .chk file
Doesn't work, same result. I get a page that tell me the webpage is not accessible...
Am I the only one with this issue??

Hi rckrz6,
You can update the software manually.
