R9000 X10 Plex Server Version & Updates
I have my R9000 up and running. Powerful Router. Blasts the entire house ~2000sq 2flrs with fast AC. I was running Plex on a VM host in my basement. Plex in Router is great and very responsive...

The Plex team is very progressive and pumps out a lot of updates.
I have been a Netgear user for a logn time and am familiar with the firmware cycle.
It is unfortunate that the edition of Plex on this router will be delayed by the firmware editions of the router itself.
I will be returning this router promptly.
Thanks for your assistance.
It is very appreciated.

Elaine - please confirm if you can.
for r9000 the latest firmware ver is...1.0.1.36
with that firmware comes plex server 1.0.3.2461-35f0caa from July 28, 2016
below that id -a new server version says it is availible in the Plex page of the router web page.
1.3.3.3148-b38628e Dec 15,2015
however there seems to be no way to install it.
Can you provide the installation method or confirm that there is nothing to be done until netgear provides the next router firmware update?
regards

the new Plex version is supposed to auto install...did you check the 'autoinstall' option?

Yes it is checked.=20
And I tried resetting and cold boot.
In all cases it starts our saying that the Jul ver. Is current and no updates available then it connects to Netgear and changes to "update available" and lists the Dec 15 ver. But no auto update happens. Also per my last note you can see that my 9000 firmware is current and thus no manual update is offered for the entire router.
Anyway to force an update using a selected file?

Solution!
Turn off "AUTO Update" in plex page and "Apply" now you will get an option to select and manually install Dec 15 ver.
