Router blocking VPN access

I installed Netgear Armor about a week ago and it slowed everything down and labelled alot of processes as Phishing. Got rid of that immediately. Now my computer will not connect to my boss's VPN and i get an error that the connection to the remote server is being interrupted by either firewall, NAT, router, etc. I removed my firewall and still has not worked. The VPN  type is L2TP w/ preshared key. Any insight on troubleshooting this?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Did you factory reset the router and setup from scratch and be sure to NOT enable Armor after setting it up?

Had the VPN on the PC worked before using Armor?

      My current firmware is: V1.0.11.126_10.2.112

Router is NETGEAR R7000 AC1900 Smart

Modem is NETGEAR CM1000v2 Cable Modem

Not sure where you obtained the specifc information you had listed below but I will probobly try to factory restart router if you think that will help. The Armor upgrade is off now

Seen it were even though Armor had been used then disabled, some behind the scenes services are still active. Thus a reset seems to clear everything out.

Had the VPN worked prior to enabled Armor?

And be sure the PC is configured and setup well for that VPN...
