Router does not support https protocol R9000 Nighthawk
Some time after I purchased the R9000 router the https protocol stopped being supported and I may only access the admin interface via http
Are there any suggestions to restore https access to the admin interface.
I have been updating the f/w but I haven’t received any updates in the last 2 years
thank you

That's how it works by default. Why do you want https?
If you insist, try here:
- Advanced
- Advanced setup
- Web Service Management
Be prepared for it to break things.
- microchip8MasterHTTPS for your private LAN is useless, unless you don't trust your own network.

http is not encrypted so the login passwords are sent clear text. Someone already logged in the WiFi can intercept these packets
I cannot see the web services option. Have they stopped updating the OS for this router ?- microchip8MasterEnabling HTTPS on the router does not mean it's globally available to the LAN/WiFi. It's only for the router's web interface so login credentials are encrypted.
