Router goes offline when using Excel

Question

This is a weird problem but my nighthawk goes offline every time I use Microsoft excel, I mean every time! Ive stopped using excel at work just because it creates problems for the bar/restaurant if the router goes offline. It's a real inconvience because I keep all our inventory, etc in excel. Anybody ever hear of such a thing? Other than that it works great

Have you tried excel on a different pc/laptop? Just to see if its a pc issue or the actual router.&nbsp;

Actually I have, I only use my iPad and my iPhone at work, but this issue happens whether I enter data on my phone or my iPad, we only use apple stuff here so I can't speak to if it happens with windows. &nbsp;

do wired and wireless devices drop? Or just wireless?&nbsp;
what router is it?&nbsp;
What firmare is on it?&nbsp;
What modem/gateway is it connected to?&nbsp;
Do the logs show any issues when you're using excel?

thx for the help,&nbsp;both wired and wireless go offline, anything attched to it stops workingnighthawk r7000v1.0.11.126I use comcast for my internet services so it's connected to their modemI am not sure what logs you are talking about but I have never seen an error message in notification.&nbsp;&nbsp;

what actual modem is it from comcast?&nbsp;
Has a factory reset on the r7000 been performed lately?&nbsp;
The firmware on it changed significantly and it responds favorably to factory reset/reinstalls
