Router issues

Hi,
I am having issues my router.If I restart/reboot my router,the router lost the memory and I have to re setup the router from beginning.

Also i am not getting full signal and sometimes keep disconnecting the device.

Anyone can help or advise me what should I do.My warranty already expired more than one year ago.

    1. you have the r8000?

    2. what firmware is on it? 

    3. what modem/gateway is it connected to? 

    4. "not getting full strength". describe this more in details. what speeds are you getting? over 2.4ghz? or the 5ghz?

      I m using NBN ( FTP)

      2.4ghz getting 45-60 mbps

      My internet speed 200mbps but not getting that speed

      Firm ware v1.0.4.74

        2.4ghz getting 45-60 mbps----thats actually a good speed over 2.4ghz. 2.4ghz is a slower network and sensitive to interference.
