Im experincing the same thing. I called Netgear but they want me to buy extended support for $89 in order for them to help me. I had the nighthawlk for a yeear now. Im frustrated, everytime I browse it blocks me.

Like microchip8 said, factory reset the device. who knows what the "cable guy" setup on the router and this way you can customize it yourself.
In terms of Netgear support, it is free for 90 days. After that you can use the warranty for a year but if you'd like support is it a pay option. But that's what the community is here for, to help others out.
