Still no fix for Chromecast on Nighthawk R6700v3?
I attempted using the fix that apparently used to work (disable SSID broadcast on the 5GHz network, connect to chromecast, re-enable SSID broadcast), but that no longer works. First off, it says to use the "PC version of chromecast" which doesn't exist any longer. It's either apple or android. The fix listed does not correct my problem when i attempt it via the 192.168.1.1 web login and using the Apple chromecast app.
My problem:
After setting up chromecast and connecting to the network, it says "Chromecast is connected to the network but cannot access the internet."
All other devices work fine on this network other than an old iPad, which has the same issue. I've updated to the most recent firmware (v3), which apprently isnt even an option on the dropdown menu here. It wasn't working before that firmware upgrade either.
Anyone more recently able to get their nighthawk to work with chromecast? How did you do it, if so?
Thanks!
I just solved the problem, and wanted to update for anyone having the same issue. Apparently the router decided to block access to random devices, which included our iPad 4 and the chromecast. When i turned off access control, those devices started working.
Cheers!
