Unable to Reset Router Password- Forwarded to wrong link
Hello,
I am trying to reset my admin router password. TheTroubleshooting assistance instructions provided through netgear have not been helpful. Each time I click on: https://www.routerlogin.com/ or https://www.routerlogin.net/ I am forwarded to this website address https://www.netgear.com/home/services/routerlogincom/
I am not given the option to login and "cancel" based on the instructions provided. (see below on what should occur on Step 2)
To recover your admin password using the password recovery feature:
- Launch a web browser from a computer connected to your router’s WiFi network.
- Enter routerlogin.net or routerlogin.com into your web browser’s address bar.
A login window displays.
Note: If routerlogin.net does not display, see I’m having trouble accessing my NETGEAR router; what do I do?. - Click CANCEL.
The Router Password Recovery window displays. - Enter your router’s serial number.
To find your router’s serial number, see: How do I find my NETGEAR home product’s serial number?. - Click CONTINUE.
- Answer your security questions.
If you cannot answer your security questions, see: How do I perform a factory reset on my NETGEAR router?. - Click CONTINUE.
Your admin password displays.
Has anyone ran into this issue before? What should be the next steps taken?
Thank you,

Does "Router" have a model number? Look for "Model" on the product
label.> [...] https://www.netgear.com/home/services/routerlogincom/

Interestingly, the latest edition of this abomination mentions only
"192.168.1.1" (not "192.168.0.1", et al.) as an alternative to the
disfunctional "routerlogin" names. It keeps changing, but not
improving.- schumakuGuru - Experienced User

A good starting point would be ... simply borrowed from your post above ... this:

Possible other causes:
- your computer isn't connected to the unknown Netgear router
- your computer is connected to a different network, for example your ISP router WLAN
- your computer is connected to some VPN service
- your computer is configured for some secured DNS/protected DNS/encryped DNS service

None of the solutions resolved this issue. I am still unable to access my router.
Isn’t there a simpler way to solve this issue? Hasn’t anyone thought these steps are far too complex than what should be needed?> None of the solutions resolved this issue. I am still unable to access

might have no idea what you mean."unable" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error

descriptions or interpretations.> Isn't there a simpler way to solve this issue? [...]
"simpler" than _what_?
