UPnP on or off ?
if u ask at security forums and almost every one says to turn it off for security reasons ok now but if u play games on xbox live and use the port forwarding every now an then the router gets confused...
- If you can trust all the devices on your LAN, i.e. are sure that none will have any malware that could take advantage of UPnP then you can turn it on, one advantage of UPnP is that ports are only open when in use. Have you tried running with UPnP on, does it help?
I don't have an xbox but do have a ps4 and I see no reason why you shouldn't enable upnp. When the device is off the ports appear closed from the outside. No more dangerous than enabling pot forwarding. Just keep an eye on the upnp portmap table to make sure there are no other devices opening ports without your knowledge.
