So what NG router are you referring too?

What error do you get? Are you able to connect to the wifi but it says "connected, no internet" What actually happens? What modem/gateway is the router connected to?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? Be sure the wifi button on top of the router is ON. IF thats OFF, press it for 5 seconds then release. Wifi LEDS should turn ON for 2.4 and 5Ghz. Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Try a different firmware for that router and see if that helps it. Maybe upgrade or downgrade the firmware depending which firmware it has.

The lack of detail there may explain why you have had so many different suggestions. (I'd avoid changing firmware until you have tracked down the problem.)

Before diving too deeply, try answering the question that FURRYe38 asked about the modem/gateway.

Which firmware version do you have on the R8000?

Does this happen with all wifi clients?

Then there i the question from plemans "What error do you get?"
