Ready NAS 102 Seems to have lost a SATA port

Good day folks, kind of an urgent situation. We noticed a couple days ago that the system was degraded and the Channel 2 drive was or failed. So I bought a new pair of drives with the intention of just being over cautious. 

I hot swapped Drive 2 and rebooted the system. After 24 hours the system still reports no drive in the second slot, no syncing. 

I'm beginning to think maybe the box is on it's way out and I have no problem buying another, but logistics of setting up a new one, copying files etc, is tough. 60 mile round trip for me in lousy traffic. 

Before I go that route any suggestions? 

BTW the graphic in the system shows my 1 drive as in and green dot and the second slot is just black/empty. No info

    Could you please exchange the non working disks to the working bay and check to confirm whether the disk or main unit have the issue.

      I will try that after I have transferred all of the data to a new NAS. That task should be completed over the weekend. I will advise as soon as I can. Thank you

      Ok well, I removed drive 1 from bay 1 and installed it into bay 2 then took the original drive from bay 2 and put that into bay 1 and all is working as it should now. So I have no idea at this point why bay 2 stopped seeing my drive.

      After the swap I took drive 2 out, cleaned it with DISKPART and reinstalled it back into bay two. The system rebuilt the array of about 2 terabytes in 12 hours. 

      So no solution at this time and I would consider this issue closed unless I have any further trouble.
