No. Taking teams calls on my phone makes all kinds of good sense, it allows me to walk around the house. Plugging pixel 9 into a wired connection is called trouble shooting, it allows for narrowing down the problem. You can plug any phone into a cat5 cable via a USB dongle. What would be my motivation for exaggerating?

Other users have posted that having Protection Engine enable has causes problems for them and disabling it seems to help resolve it.
Disabling PE would be a troubleshooting step to help narrow down the issue.
Also basements are not good places for host routers. All that concrete and steel surrounding will inhibit good signal travel. Main level or 2nd level is preferred locations for the main host router.
