These hidden SSIDs seem to be a key part of the simple discovery process, as well as an early relict of the never made production-ready Mesh implementation. BH_C
Mesh support was a part of the RS700 press announcement from 2023, and was repeated with the Press Release from 2025 for the RS700S.
Got to love the marketing department.

My sense is that the July, 2026 update is simply poorly written:

BH_C please clarify ... sometimes back in 2023 you said: "I don't have the ETA for the Mesh support yet.".
