NETGEAR WiFi 7 RS600 and 320 MHz
Hey Friends, I just bought the NETGEAR Nighthawk Tri-Band WiFi 7 Router (RS600) AND a MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip that supports WiFi 7.
I have my 6 GHz network set up but I don't see any of the 320 MHz channels.
My region is United States.
What am I missing? :-)
There are no Apple devices that support 320MHz-wide channels.
They all are locked to 160MHz at most currently. This includes their WiFi 7 products, not just their 6E products.
In fact, they only go up to 1024QAM as well, and don't do 4kQAM.
The latest set of M5 Pro/Max Macbook Pro offerings use the N1 Apple chip for WiFi, which follows these limitations.

Could you please indicate:
- whether Smart Connect is enabled (or disabled) See page 68 of the user manual:
https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RS600/RS600_UM_EN.pdf - What channels are set for the 5G and 6G WiFi networks (page 73)
- How does the MacBook Pro M5 indicate that it is connected to a 320Mbit WiFi channel?
Thanks

Thank you! Yes, Smart Connect is disabled. Channels are set to Auto. On a Mac, in Wireless settings, I can see it connecting to 160 GHz channel.
