Router reset does not fully restore all settings while reset
Resetting the router does not clear all settings and does not change the router name.
This leads to a situation where the user scans the QR code on the router, but the phone cannot connect to the router. The reason is that the app expects one set of credentials, while the router is actually using different credentials.
====
Can't change router's name because it then cause painful steps to restore the router in case it's needed

it's Netgear RS300, not Orbi
I tried all options of reset, it was erase within admin panel, also tried to use router button via paperclip, and also was trying to find other advanced methods of reset but every time it wasn't possible to successfully setup the router(if router's name was changed)I was able to avoid it only by removing the router from the netgear account, if I don't do this - I can't setup the router after reset

MY bad, not enough coffee.
What FW is on the router?
You can set up ANY router with out being online:
Try a 15 second button press and release reset on the router then setup with a ethernet PC and web browser:

What model Orbi is this?
How are you resetting the router? Pressing the reset button in back for 15 seconds then release or using the ERASE button on the RBRs web page?
I use the ERASE button on mine and it clears all.
