RS 700 stolen in shipping

I ordered a rs700 router with Net gear because my new iPhone 16 pro max has wifi7 and I was looking for the higher speed. The package arrived in two days and was delivered by FedEx. I opened the package, and the router box was sealed with plastic. I took the plastic off and the box was filled with shipping foam and 4 bottles of hair removing cream. It seems to me the package was stolen in the warehouse and someone used a scale to balance the weight and even wrap the box with plastic again. So I did not get the router I ordered but have 4 hair removing creams for 750$.  So please keep this in mind before placing an order with this company. Customer service has been very poor so far and i have been given a claim number. I would rate my experience an F so far.  You have been warned.

  • Have you reached out to FedEx about this?

I don't think the box left NGs facilities like that.

Have you reached out to your credit card company to see if they can make any refunds?

  • Sounds like this happened during transit. Unfortunately, there are people working for these companies that are known to steal items. This is something you need to keep pressuring customer support about so they can file a claim with FedEx.

I think that if NG could make those shipping boxes a bit less inconspicuous as well for those that order directly from NG, would help stave off some of these nefarouous people doing bad things. Crazy that someone got away with this. How they don't think that it can be tracked. Once the MAC address and any subscription gets put online, gee, there are ways to find out where this unit ended up at. đꙄ

  • Hello yusafnyc ,

I am sorry to hear that your order did not arrive as expected. You mentioned a claim number, NETGEAR would give you a case number but the Fed-Ex would offer you a claim number. Did you contact NETGEAR Support? If not, please do so and let me know your case number so I can help investigate this further.

    Kind Regards,
