RS180 /BE5500 5ghz radio issue "teardown" error.

Yes, Everything was enabled out of the box as it should have been. This is why i had to disable the 5ghz radio to get any functional wifi connection ( I am using 2.4ghz only atm). I should also add that the radio issue was also affecting the Wired ports/ entire router, causing even the wired clients and the router itself to basically reboot or boot cycle.
ONLY with the Wifi totaly disabled (both 2.4, & 5ghz) OR just the 5ghz Will the router function without the teardawn error and random wired client disconnects. Again, this was all out of the box, NEW and no signs of open box or a returned product.
As for returning the unit, i am on that path as well, only i have to purchase another new router to use in the meantime as my previous one was bad/ overheating, hence why i bought a new one in the first place. Only question now is will i get another netgear or go back to tp-link or another brand. I do understand the luck of the draw with new hardware but this persistent issue has made me second guess getting another netgear product.

At the end of the day, it is one failed hardware unit. For me a "persistent issue" would mean seeing the same problem with the replacement. Of course it is up to you whether you want to simply replace it, or go with somethine else.

Whether you stick with Netgear or not, you could limp along with 2.4 ghz until the replacement arrives, and then ship the failed product back.
