RS300, firmware 1.0.6.16; Ethernet Settings
I'd like to configure the port aggregation to connect a switch to the port 1 and 2. Following the user manual on page 99, on the page ADVANCED>AdvancedSetup>EthernetSettings the port aggregation is disabled and it's asking me to disable VLAN to enable it.
But I need the VLAN configuration to connect my ISP; how have I to do?

Hello, You can’t use port aggregation on ports that have VLAN enabled. Keep Port 1 for your ISP VLAN, and aggregate Ports 2 and 3 to your switch instead.

Do you need this for internet access? Or are you using it for an IPTV service? If so, is the IPTV device connected to the switch?
Is the switch a gigabit switch? Or does it support multigig?

Can't be done with the RS300, it only supports local LAN aggregation on ports 1 and 2.

The VLAN setting required by the ISP is which type:
- By bridge group?
- By VLAN tag group?
This may be a situation where the only practical solution is to replace the existing gigabit switch that supports port aggregation with a 2.5GB switch. When connected directly to one of the 2.5GB LAN ports, such a switch will provide more aggregate bandwidth than the port aggregation.

Or just a multigig switch, since there might not be any need for downstream port aggregation.

Sorry I was not clear. Suggest replacing the existing gigabit switch (which supports port aggregation) with a new 2.5G switch (which does not need port aggregation because it can connect directly to a 2.5G port on the router.) The existing gigabit switch might be used for some other purpose.
