RS500 - Hates custom ipv6 LAN interface ID

I am able to setup a custom LAN ipv6 interface ID of the router from the ipv6 setup, but the connected client devices lose the ipv6 addresses when doing so. Everything works perfectly when the ipv6 LAN interface ID of the router is auto generated.

The custom setting works for a while after reboot and then devices randomly don't get ipv6 addresses from the router. The ipv6 address assignment is in the default auto config mode.

ISP provides DHCP with PD ipv6 internet with a public wan ip to the router and a /64 prefix delegated to the lan side of the router

Never had this issue with my previous R6700AX router. Any insights on why this might be happening?

Does it work if you assign the same interface ID that you are getting from your ISP?  Though this can be tricky, since you might get a new IID when the lease expires.
