RS600 wifi issue on latest firmwire 1.0.0.60
I just purchased the RS600, first thing I did was update firmware to latest 1.0.0.60 then configured my setup.
I have all SSID's separate for each frequency instead of 1 across all to save me from changing every device in the house from previous router as there's alot. I would get no SSID's appearing anywhere, all boxes ticked for radio & broadcast etc, when I went to "advanced home" to look at overview, everything says they are on except Wireless AP states off, even tried disabling radios & ssids just in case the settings were round wrong way, this also appeared in guest network settings too. I have reverted back to Firmware 1.0.0.42 and all has come back as normal now except when doing a speed test on 6ghz the download is ok but there is no upload at all. Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Maybe I need to wait for a more mature firmware. Also is there a setting to permanently disable WPS, thought this might be part of the problem

Just a thought.
I know its a lot of work, but the whole point of wifi 7 versus other versions is the increased bandsteering and concurrent band usage. That involves having the same ssids so devices can roam between bands and concurrently use them. Versus just stuck to one band. It kind of ruins the point of buying a high end wifi 7 system just to separate them out. And this will only get worse with newer versions. plus non of your wifi 7 capable devices are going to enjoy these benefits either.
You'd have been a bit better by saving the $ and getting an older generation router if that was your plan.
Again, not saying the behavior is correct, just saying, while its a PITA, to enjoy the benefits of wifi 7, nows the time to make the change versus a couple years later when you have even more wifi/IoT devices.
Thanks for reply, I only purchased the RS600 as was roun $150 off on special at the time & main reason was for the x2 10GB ports to match up with my switch, wifi 7 was just the future proof for me. Looking deeper into the matter it may have something to do with the vlan tag group required for my connection to ISP for PPPoE to ONT as i have read other people having issue with wifi broadcast if this is enabled. Im quite happy at moment on 1.0.0.42 without 6GHZ band running as seems quite stable, think will wait for a future update to rectify issue.
Sounds good!
i would start switching devices to a unified ssid for the wifi 7 benefits. random day and slowly start moving them over. Seems like you got a pretty good deal. the RS600 is a rock solid device. I'm looking forward to whenever netgear starts incorporating mesh into their nighthawk like. It was announced with the RS700 but no further talk about it.
Just to update, I tried 1.0.0.56 as well this gave same result as 1.0.0.60 with separated SSIDs, showed under advanced home "wireless AP" was set to off even though all was turned on, also noticed on reboot from advanced home could not get router up and active, had to pull power for successful reboot. have moved back to 1.0.0.42 and all is back up as normal other than 6ghz only has download no upload.
