RS700 - Factory resets every time it loses power
Hey All,
I recently started to leverage my RS700 as the main router in my home and have noticed that any time it loses power (e.g. manually unplugging the device, a home power outage, etc.), it resets to factory settings and requires me to go through the installation again. Anyone else experience this behavior and/or does any have any suggestions for how to stop this from happening?
Here is what I have already tried:
1. I upgraded to the latest firmware (v1.0.7.96). It did not fix the issue.
2. Performed a factory reset by holding the reset button on the router down for 10 seconds. The device successfully reset but still resets with a power failure
Thanks for your help and thoughts in advance.

Hello,
Thanks for the suggestions. I am confirming I am running Firmware Version V1.0.7.96_2.0.96. I also have noticed that it will not allow me to back up my config (the button does nothing when clicked in the GUI) so something definitely is off.

I am also having this issue with the RS700 doing a factory reset after every power outage. I have tried all of these solutions without success. I tried a new newgear power supply adapter that also didn't help. I suspect a hardware problem withvthe NVRAM.
If there is a solution, can someone please post it or send me a message. Does the RS 500 have the same problem?
