RS700: Heat Management
My understanding is that the Nighthawk RS700 Tri-Band WiFi 7 Router is not equipped with an internal fan, and relies only on passive heat dissipation. How well is the router able to manage heat, under ‘normal’ and ‘heavy’ usage?
Do you use an external fan to circulate air through (or nearby) the router – and, if so, can you please share your experience together with the manufacturer and model of the fan?
Thank you.

I use one of these for additional cooling under or on top of any router I put online:

FURRYe38, [1] are you using a fan with the RS700 router as a preventative measure, or because you have noticed the device becoming warm or hot without a fan?
[2] How do you position your 120mm USB fan to cool the RS700? Does the router have open airflow slots on its bottom, and do you stand the router on the top of the fan in order to blow cool air up and into the router?
Thank you.

Thought I don't have an RS yet, the fan is a " preventative measure" for ANY router I have online. One sits on top of my RBR971 currently and one sits under my RBR850 currently.

As a user, I've found that the Nighthawk RS700 router effectively manages heat under normal usage. However, during heavy usage or in warmer environments, it benefits from additional cooling.
