Amazon Cloud Drive service failed, no alert!

Hi,

I just noticed that a file hadn't been synced to my Amazon Cloud Drive so I checked my NAS. Amazon Cloud Drive was turned off.

First I did the update from 6.9.4 Hotfix to 6.9.5 just in case, no change.

I then turned Amazon Cloud back on manually and transfer started immediately.

The log shows the following:

I'm not too worried about the Amazon service failing, but what does bother me is that there is no alert setting for this error. As a result I spent more than a month with no cloud backup.

Is there a way to add alerts for this kind of error?

FW (was) 6.9.3, downgraded to 6.8.1

Amazon Cloud Drive connection fails repetitively. FW 6.9.x ACD switch will not switch to enabled. It immediately flips back to disabled. Downgrading to version 6.8.1, ACD will attempt to enable and re-authenticate. It ultimately ends up stoppings service due to the following error.

System: Amazon Cloud Drive service stopped.

System: Unauthorized. It could be invalid user account credential or the app is not allowed to access cloud drive. Stopped syncing with Amazon Cloud Drive.

Volume: Defragmentation complete for volume data.

User credentials are entered correctly and ACD is started but fails after a few hours.

I believe this is similar to a number of other reported issues, but I'm not sure how it's been addressed.

This is not a supported downgrade (Netgear supports downgrading 6.9.x back to 6.9.0, but no further).

So you might not get much help on it.

        StephenB,

Thanks for the comment. I've upgraded back to 6.9.5 to see if the latest FW would fix the issue. No luck, similar to the prior 6.9.x build, when I enable ACD I end up just the spinning circle and the following logs:

        Feb 23, 2019 12:37:23 PM

System: Amazon Cloud Drive service started.

        System: ReadyNASOS background service started.

System: Firmware was upgraded to 6.9.5.

        System: The system is rebooting.

However ACD in the Cloud tab still shows "OFF" and grey'd out.

        Cheers,

        Rob
