Auto Back up with deletion

Hi stephen,
thanks for reply , actaully total data size is around 3 tb , we cannot delete on daily basis .
is this possible without CIFS ? local NAS to REMOTE HDD one way back up with delete enabled during sync ?

Yes, the option to delete files on the destination that are no longer on the source is available if you use rsync.

- how to configure that , as i am not able to do so.
- is something to be enabled at client end.
- is there anydrawback of using rsync as compared to cifs.
- pl help with configuration document if any to configure rsync.

2) You need an rsync server installed on the destination share. What is the destination (a Windows PC??? Something else?)
3) Overall rsync throughput is slower than CIFS backup, but since it is incremental it generally works out faster in the end.
