I don't really have any, but did want to suggest that if both ReadyNAS are on the main network that you should check out ReadyDR.
Thanks StephenB, I'll give that a try.
May take until the weekend to have a go with it as the family are still verifying that all their files have made it across to the new disks and not until then will I blow away the old ones.
I'll revert to let you know what I find out and how it goes.

rsync of course is another option, and is the best choice if you want to simply copy the shares to the destination machine.
ReadyDR is similar to replicate in functionality.
