    Hi clinford,

Sync via ReadyCloud is more or less syncing to the NAS as well.

ReadyNAS line-up uses either EXT3, EXT4 or BTRFS depending on the OS.

Further checking, all 3 file systems use 255 byte limit for filenames and no specified limit for path names.

There is a possibility that I could be wrong so I will also be escalating your case further. Lets wait for some confirmation/answers as well.

    Thanks for your cooperation!

    Regards,

Usually this issue is on the Windows side (especially if you are copying from Windows to a NAS share).

The NAS destination path+name is usually longer than the local Windows system (since the \\nasname\sharename is part of the path).  This can cause the destination to exceed the Windows limit.

Mapping the share to a local drive letter ensures that the destination path+name can't be longer than the source, so that is one workaround.  You'll need to do that to restore the data also.
