Readycloud desktop app - cannot open folders
Hi, Since the Readycloud 1.12 /FW 6.5.0 upgrade, weird connection problems have arisen. 99% of the time, the desktop app connects (after quite a wait, I might add) and actually displays the directo...

If you use Explorer to navigate to %PROGRAMFILES(x86)%\NETGEAR\Remote\bin\ , use a good file editor (like Notepad++) to edit ReadyCloudClient.exe.config, change ENABLE_CONSOLE from False to True, and re-start the ReadyCLOUD client, then try to reproduce, do you get an error when ReadyCLOUD tries to issue the loading Explorer command in the console window?

Hi Kohdee Here is the error message I am getting: <131129749185471990> [14/07/2016 14:01:58]: CloudService.NetAddConnection, Excep tion: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, usin g more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again It looks like a problem with multiple sessions being open to readycloud I made sure I was logged out as the same user everywhere else but am still getting the error, is there a way to allow multiple sessions from the same user so I can see if that makes a difference? Kind regards Graham

I am receiving the same error as GrahamWebb regarding multiple sessions. Is there a way to fix this error?
Thanks,

I have tried to downgrade the firmware to 6.5.0 instead of 6.5.1 to see if that fixes it:
I just downloaded the file a for ARM and have used the manual firmware upgrade, this has not worked either still cant open my shares from the ReadyCloud desktop 9 out of 10 times. This is getting really frustrating and I cant believe that this NAS box doesn't work as it is supposed to.
It has one job... :(

I also tried downgrading to 6.4.2 but that then readycloud wouldnt work at all so putting it back to 6.5.1

Sorry for the delay in getting back.
Are you mapping drives to your ReadyNAS over the VPN?
You can generally get rid of those errors by using cmd and using "net use /delete *" or "net use /delete \\connection\here\from\netuse" where \\connection\here\from\netuse is a connection shown when entering "net use" -- this would be a Windows problem.

Hi Kohdee
We dont have a problem with mapped network drives when on the same network as the readynas infact thats how people connect to it when in the office and that works fine. Its just the ReadyCloud desktop app that is causing problems as we want to use this when people are working away from the office. We have separate user accounts setup for the mapped network drives.
Kind regards
Graham

The problem with ReadyCloud app is not due to existing connections as I have had it happen for a brand new user the first time they have connected.

You can get the "CloudService.NetAddConnection, Exception: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed" error if you have multiple shared folders and access more than one of them using the ReadyCloud app. Just open one folder and navigate to other shared folders using Windows Explorer.
If you open Folder 1 using the ReadyCloud app, Windows Explorer displays Folder 1. If you then close Windows Explorer and use the ReadyCloud app to open Folder 2 you can get the multiple user error. Navigate to Folder 2 from the first Windows Explorer window.
