I'll always say that there if you yell loud enough things get done...
This app seems to work. At least I can log on now:
https://readycloud.netgear.com/client/install/ReadyCLOUD.pkg
.....
Oh, and to the Windows guy, I was a Windows person for several years. But this Ballmer Windows 8 is the worst mess of software I've seen in 20 years (I didn't use Windows ME so I can't speak to it).
And you can say that Windows has more market share than Mac. IBM used to say the same thing about Windows. The world changes and right now it's changing towards Mac.
This isn't to say that can't be corrected. And as a 25 year software developer, it is infinitely easier for me to write software on a Mac than it is on Windows. (If I see that Windows "file in use" message one more time in my career I may scream).
That all being said, I'll admit that writing FOR Mac is a complete bear as is writing FOR iPhone. Objective C is the worst abomination of languages ever to curse our developer ecosphere in this stage of its evolution. But writing software in JAVA on a Mac is a complete dream compared to writing software in JAVA on Windows.
My final point isn't that writing for Mac SHOULD be done but that it should NOT be ADVERTISED as being done. If you have a product and you say you have Mac support then you better support it. Don't suck your customers in and then give them toss them a bone here and there.
