I updated it to 6.5.2 and I've just updated it to 6.7.2.
Updates should work the normal ways (local or remote update) going forward.
You should be able to join your NAS to ReadyCLOUD now. Please check this too when you get the chance.

Stephen, I have firmware version 6.2.0. System says I need to upgrade to 6.2.5 but that fails. I have tried many ways to update, without succes. Even after a complete reset tot manufactory setting, no effect for the firmware.
and Yes I see green status for internet and cloud access on the Cloud page of the web ui.

That is the problem. You need at least 6.5.1 to use ReadyCloud, and of course you should be running 6.7.4 (current firmware). You need to get there in steps, which is why the update server is only offering 6.2.5.
Have you tried manually downloading 6.2.5, and installing it from the systems->settings page? The download link is here: https://kb.netgear.com/29498/ReadyNAS-OS-Version-6-2-5-RN102-RN104-Only

Stephen, many thanks for your attention and help. I again tried to update the firmware manually. As you said I downloaded the advised version 6.2.5 first. First I linked the ZIP file "ReadyNASOS-6.2.5-arm_RN102_RN104 (1).zip". Then I though to unzip the file and uploaded "ReadyNASOS-6.2.5-arm.img".
The systems asked to reboot, I confirmed. After the reboot still firmware 6.2.0 is valid and again systems asks me to upgrade to versie 6.2.5.
So still no luck. What should I do now?

Let's give mdgm-ntgr a chance to chime in.
In the meantime, download the log zip file from the logs page in the web ui, and look at initrd.log. If there's an error in there, please post it here.

There was a known issue with firmware updates/OS Re-installs especially with the 6.2.5 firmware release: ReadyNAS OS 6: RN100/RN2120 cannot update due to invalid checksum
Please try the steps in that article. If it still doesn't work seeing you've just reset the system you could do another factory reset and try the steps in this article again.
