I wish there were a good answer on ReadyCloud. All I can suggest is looking at other alternatives. It just doesn't have the reliability.
Google Drive or AWS sync are possible, but it's still early days for them. OpenVPN, OwnCloud or ZeroTier seem more stable.
Another option is to install Filezilla on everyone's PC, and forward FTP ports in the enterprise router. Use ddns if there is no DNS in place already. Then use FTPS as a backup access method. You could potentially get this running today if you have remote access to the router configuration.
