RN104 cannot turn on ReadyCLOUD
The ReadyCLOUD application cannot be turned on, the option is grayed out. I upgraded to 6.5.0 RC3 hoping this would fix it, but it is still grayed out. The serial number and mac addresses match bet...

If you have set a static I.P. on the NAS have you verified that the DNS Server addresses were specified correctly?
Does checking for firmware updates, sending email alerts etc. work fine?

It is not setup with static IP. Checking for firmware updates works fine; tells me I am running the latest.

Using 6.5.0 beta firmware you would need to be using a MyNETGEAR account to register the NAS with ReadyCLOUD. You would need to sue the beta ReadyCLOUD web page (and/or the beta apps) to access ReadyCLOUD since the beta server is in use.
What does the CLOUD tab in the web admin page look like? Can you provide a screenshot. - JennCMay 18, 2016NETGEAR Employee Retired
Hello krox0001,
The 6.5.0 is now an official release. The web site readycloud.netgear.com is now using myNetgear accounts so migration has started, please make sure to upgrade all the ReadyCloud accounts you use.
I suggest you unregister the main ReadyCloud account first from the admin page before updating the FW. Once it is updated, enter your upgraded ReadyCloud account that should be in an email format.
Other users also need to upgrade their ReadyCloud accounts.
Regards,

Thanks for the quick responses. I upgraded to the official release of 6.5.0 but it still will not let me turn on ReadyCLOUD. I cannot unregister from the old ReadyCloud account because my device has those buttons greyed out (I suspect I have to turn it "on" first). I did walk through the directions to upgrade my ReadyCloud account to the myNetgear account and that seemed to go through OK.
Here is a screen shot of the Cloud tab, notice the "OFF" button for the ReadyCLOUD is greyed out and won't let me move it to "ON":

For future reference: this is not a real test to prove you have internet access -- ReadyNAS gives this message even when your network is disabled.

It would be good to have a real test.
