This is not that uncommon for only connecting via hostname to work on one Windows system and for only connecting via I.P. to work on another. Sometimes when there is a Windows update it may break access via one method and fix it for the other.

Many thanks for the reply, really appreciated
Yes the NAS can be found on RAIDar and its now visible in Explorer. However when I try to get the logs or any other action in RAIDar I get a message that the NAS is not accessible from this compputer. Also when I try to access from Explorer it tells me it "can not access NASBox" and running diagnotics doesn't achieve anything
Also havent been able to access the NAS from any of the other computers on the home network for sometime

Does accessing the NAS web ui directly from edge work? ( https://nas-ip-address/admin ), where nas-ip-address is a placeholder for the actual IP address.

Just tried again and no Edge just comes back with "can't access this page"

What IP address is RAIDar showing for the NAS? Is this consistent with the address range on your network?
Is IPv6 enabled on your network?

Yes IPv6 is enabled on all adapters. The IP address showing in RAIDar is 192.168.0.100. This is different to the IP address I've used before which ended in 113. Neither IP address are working from my PC
Have just got access to one of the Win7 PCs in the house and I can access the the NAS box from it. So it seems the problem is on my Win10 PC, however I'm at a loss as to what the problem is, given prior to firmware update had no issues
Thanks again for any advice
