Hi Liea
just to clear up. thanks for your help in fixing this problem. you connected to my PC and could see my system and corrected a couple of things which were incorrect. quite how the power break of a few seconds changed things that were working perfectly OK before is a mystery to me - but all is OK now
thanks
Rod

Hello rodcrit,
What do you get when you login at readycloud.netgear.com? If it logs you in and shows you your NAS, what do you see under Manage? It should show you all the invited ReadyCloud users.
Have you tried turning the ReadyCloud OFF and ON?

Hi JennC
thanks for response - really appreciated.
when I log in to ready cloud portal - it says "my system" is offline - check internet.. the manage screen says the same thing. it doesnt get any further than that. ( my internet is fully active and working ).
on the local admin cloud tab - it is showing the readycloud as being on. when I set it to off - it goes to off and when I set it back to on it goes to on. but it still shows as offline on the portal login.
locally the system is working OK it is the cloud access that is a problem.
regards
Rod

Hello rodcrit,
What ReadyCloud account is logged in to the admin page cloud tab ReadyCloud settings?
Is this already migrated to myNetgear account?

the admin account logged into the portal is a migrated account. all my accounts were migrated once I started to use the beta version some time ago.
does that answer the question.
I have noted some converstations on the community saying that the config files have been corrupted if power is lost and a factory reset is necessary to start the system again. is this true ? surely the config files are protected from corruption no matter what happens.... just by copying and archiving. then a function to restore if necessary
comments ?

Further to my queries and not heard any positive outcome of the problems I am having - I am contemplating having to do a factory reset and rebuilt my system after backing up all the data ( 3TB ).
at present my remote users ( in the USA ) cannot access their data on my system. the longer this goes on the worse it gets.
so further questions.
1. if the configuration files can be corrupted by a power failure, is there a way of saving copies of the config files so they can be restored if something like this fhappens again?
2. I have set up over 30 backup operations which will have to be reinstated when the ssytem is rebuilt. is there anyway of saving the backup scripts or whatever controls them so they can be reinstated without having to reinput all the backup operations.
finally - I dont want to have to reset my system - is there anyway of correcting the current situation?
