Hi
When i go to https://readycloud.netgear.com/client/en/welcome.html i click signin.
That mostly works - but not allways..
When it works:
When i then click the nas in the Home tab, it says the nas is offline.
I have restarted the nas ½ hour ago, its working fine. I can acces files from it, from windows file explorer or from my TV.
What should i do?

No neither can I! It won't allow me to even recover my password, and comes back with an error:-
"There was an error recovering the password.
Please retry.
java.net.UnknownHostException: directory.ngxcld.com"
And this has coincided with my ReadyNas deleting cloud users, cloud users home directories and toggling the "ReadyCloud" option to "OFF" Is this another Netgear Server database issue?
- mmudMar 30, 2017Aspirant
Yup, same here. Also the error messages I get indicated a DB issue: error 0000000, connection pool timeout, etc...

Same here my accounts has been delated somhow cant make new 1 also when trying to contact support via chat it returns server fatal error
- nbmtMar 30, 2017Guide
I have just called Tech Support and they are aware there is an issue with ReadyCloud and they are working on it.
So if you are trying to log into "ReadyCloud.Netgear.com" and you can not then beware of the below also:-
Basically your NAS "chats" with the ReadyCloud servers. If however your NAS can not be found on their database, due to whatever reason, then the NAS seems to toggle the "ReadyCloud" option to "OFF" and proceeds to dump the cloud users and their "Home Drives".
So double check your NAS as well!

Having the same issue here. Was not able to access our ReadyNAS device this morning with my regular log information on our local network. I was not able to log into ReadyCloud either (still not able to). I get the following error message when I attempt to reset my password on ReadyCloud: java.net.unknown host exception: directoy.ngxcld.com.
If anyone else is having issues accessing their ReadyNAS on their local network while using their admin account, try the default username and password. That allowed me into the admin area. This was something that I changed in the past and I am not sure why it went back to the default information. No other user seem to be effected by this on the local network, other then the admin account.

Having this issue today. I can access my video library through PLEX.tv though and my Plex app on my phone is working. But logging in from any device or windows desktop is not working. Cannot access files through Windwos Explorer or Web -ReadyCloud
- BrentDynamicsMar 30, 2017TutorI can not login to readycloud.netgear.com either they browser or app on my phone. My remote users are unable to access the system either and they need to for work.
Thinking net gear broke readycloud.- Tony1971Mar 30, 2017Aspirant
Same issue here we are not able to access the readycloud network as well. Any ETA from support on when this will be resolved?
- HansKMar 30, 2017Apprentice
I can also can only acces my NAS via my admin account. Why do I not see any response from one of the support people from Netgear?
- 4u2fastMar 30, 2017Guide
Same over here. Noway to access Readycloud. What a mess. I can't even recover my Password or create a new account. Everytime I try that I am getting an Error message. What is going on there with those netgear support guys???
- mmudMar 30, 2017Aspirant
I've had this problem off and on since I bought the product last year. Last night I tried to register my router again, it failed, Passwords failed. Password recovery failed. From what I'm seeing, their DB connction is hosed. Various error messages I've seen in the last 24 hours:
1. connection pool timeout / connection refused
2. unknown host directory.ngxcld.com
3. error 0000000000
Would just like this to work right, once... Have not had a great experience at all and am considering just going with iCloud... :(
- 4u2fastMar 30, 2017Guide
Same error messages in my case. I guess they shut the thing down.
- HansKMar 30, 2017ApprenticeNo more acces via admin account anymore 😤😢
- britrbMar 30, 2017Guide
Noaccess to my NAS Documents folder, or my [emailaddress] folder. Cant sign in to admin or the web page. Getting desperate - work stuff needed!
- TT_DEMar 30, 2017Luminary
Same here.
- No access to my account via readycloud neither IOS App nor website.
- ReadyNas also deleted ALL cloud users, cloud users home directories
- Toggling the "ReadyCloud" option to "OFF"
Any comments wrt a solution?
Hopefully users et al will be restored

Is there any way to migrate the readynas disks to another, competitive and more reliable NAS?

HansK wrote:Is there any way to migrate the readynas disks to another, competitive and more reliable NAS?
The only way would be to access the data from the ReadyNAS, back it up to another storage, purchase another NAS, recycle the disks to setup the new NAS and reimport the data.
There is no way the new NAS would recognize the content of ReadyNAS disks, and if it magically did, it would probably boot as a ReadyNAS (the system and settings are stored on the disks).
