I had a Samba share to the Root "/"  that was created years ago.

/etc/frontview/samba/addon/addons.conf

[Root]
  path = /
  comment = "NasOne Root Share"
  force create mode = 0666
  force user = root /* added this to this if it helped. no go.
  create mask = 0666
  force directory mode = 0777
  directory mask = 0777
  admin users = "admin","Administrator"
  writeable = 1
  guest ok = 1

the Share shows up however I cannot access ANY folder from ANY machine.   What has changed????   ANy assitance is greatly appreaciated.

    Hello ylafont,

    Can you still see this share you created when you get to the FrontView's Share listing? If so, check the permission of the share as well as other shares. Maybe resetting permission would help.

    Regards,

      the Root "/" share would not be listed in frontview.  Fronview share are  listed in /etc/frontview/samba/smb.conf  and those work ok.

      Hi ylafont

      Am I correct in thinking this used to mount the OS partition (/usr, /var, /etc, ,,,)?
