access to plex addon program folders

addons are in /apps

What are you trying to do in the "plex media server" folder"??? Are you wanting to install plex add-ons?

Ok, so Plex is installed, but you want to try an install plex add-ons that are not ReadyNAS add-ons.

I haven't done that. Super-Poussin's suggestion might well work, though I thought that was limited to ReadyNas apps.

There are two other ways to get access to the plex system folders:
(a) enter \\NASNAME\data\.apps into windows explorer, using the NAS admin log on and password as the credentials.
(b) enable ssh on the system services page, and connect using something like putty. Log on using "root" as the username and the admin password.

Using the upload button you can upload a deb file even if that's not an addon :)

When I try to go to this folder it won't let me access it either. It won't give me a windows box to put in my credentials when I put this address in to windows explorer and this folder is hidden when I go in to my NAS in windows explorer. Any suggestions?
