- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI assume the new version of the add-on should be safe (though it would be a good idea to ensure your backup is up to date before you install it, just in case). I think super-poussin wouldn't have made a new version available if it wasn't safe.
- beniroquaiAspirantHey. Great work! Thank you very much! :) Is there any chance of getting the owncloud add-on to work on OS6? Its availible in the genie-appstore, but this is not working with the selfinstalled OS6 version on older readynasses?

I heard Netgear could provide an owncloud version for R6 - beniroquaiAspirantWhat do you mean by "netgear could provide a owncloud installation"?

That they could provide their own add-on.beniroquai wrote: What do you mean by "netgear could provide a owncloud installation"? - olestGuideTried vpnserver with 6.1.1 beta and uninstalled it again even though it worked fine.
When I try to install vpnserver after updating to 6.1.1 final it say it is installed successfully but I cannot see it under installed apps and it is not working. - olestGuideI just saw that VPN server (version 1.1.9) is in "Available Apps" and that one installs fine.
- olestGuideWhen I establish a L2TP connection to vpn server from outside I can see every other server in the same network as the NAS but not the NAS it self.
Does anyone know hos to fix this? olest wrote: When I establish a L2TP connection to vpn server from outside I can see every other server in the same network as the NAS but not the NAS it self.

+1
Also, I need to set the Readynas IP to the DMZ on my router for me to be able to connect to my network from outside. Can anyone explain why this is, what risk there is and whether it can be avoided through eg port forwarding?- olestGuideIf you use L2TP you have to forward port 500 UDP and 4500 UDP to the NAS.
Access to the NAS it self is a limitation in the VPN server software I found but you can get it working anyway if you in the Local bridge setup add a TAP interface and in the Virtual hub enable secure NAT. You then have to access the NAS at the TAP interface.
