After getting back into the BOOT FLASH, I found that the VPD file was missing. So I copied it back over from my USB backup and now it is looking "normal" again.

It used to show fine. It was just since I did a USB Recovery to get back to booting (yes OS 6 version). I am thinking that I might try going into Tech Support mode and mounting the BOOT FLASH partition, check the VPD filesize, and copy back the backup I made of it before all this. We will see ...

Ah, yes. USB recovery can corrupt the VPD file. You are lucky the unit is booting at all. See Backup and restore of VPD file for legacy ReadyNAS running OS6 | NETGEAR Communities before something more goes wrong.
