App thumbnails look terrible

Ok, so this has nothing to do with the functions of the Apps available in OS 6.x. They just look horrible :smileyfrustrated:

It seems they are all 150x150 pixels but some are cut-outs, other are upscaled, some don't even have the correct ratio. I'm willing to update the thumbs for you by finding better better logotypes with the correct resolution. If I do this, would you be able to replace them in a future release?

All you would have to do is send me an archive with existing thumbs (as I may not have them all on my NAS) and I'll send you back an updated version..

The thumbnails that you're talking about were sent or submitted by 3rd party developers. I'll check if we can provide what you requested.

This is correct -- logo.png is provided by the app developer. You can pester them to update their logos if you are not pleased as an end user.

Regarding how they display in the UI, there are some improvements coming to the UI to watch out for.

      • I see. I thought the thumbnails were added by you (Netgear) or that you had some control over them considering they are included in your OS. By "control" I mean being able to rescale, resize or crop the thumbs to fit your GUI.

But I guess there isn't much I can do then. I originally thought you had downloaded the images from the app developers website and not really bothered to make adjustments to the thumbs to make them look better in your GUI.
